Very low moisture carpet cleaning is a new process that is widely misunderstood.  Hot water extraction/steam cleaning has been at the forefront  of carpet cleaning for decades and most people are familiar with it.  Very low moisture carpet cleaning is a very new process that Restore Your Carpet is offering our valued clients in Jackson Hole and Star Valley WY areas.  This post is a quick one about one of the biggest questions that clients ask about this new process.  Where does the dirt go?  Since this process does not use any steam or truckmount vacuum extraction, people are left wondering how the dirt comes up out of the carpet.  The quick, vibrating, oscillations of our very low moisture encapsulation machine does most of the work, but the pads are left to answer the question...

You can clearly see the dirt that has made its way up into the pad in this shot.  What is left in the carpet has been encapsulated with the special chemicals that we use, and as the chemical dries, it is more easily vacuumed out during your regular vacuuming.  Encapsulation carpet cleaning is more of a chemical process than a spray and suck process like steam extraction.  Our experience is that it is not the end all, be all of carpet cleaning, but it definitely has its place in the maintenance of your carpet in your home or business.
