Berber carpet is pretty unique. Most carpet cleaning companies in Wyoming will tell you that they can clean berber with a truckmounted steam extractor, and yes, it can be done. However, I believe that it can be done better with our very low moisture carpet cleaning equipment. Reason being is that experience has shown me that after a few dozen jobs under our belt with this new system, I can see a big difference. I like to get behind the ROTOVAC 360 power wand with 230+ degrees of steam and some serious suction and steam blast carpet clean. It must be a "Man with toy," thing. In terms though of cost of operation, time of work, and quality of the job, the very low moisture equipment that we now have takes the cake.
I have cleaned this dental office in Afton, WY for the 4th time now. The first time we cleaned it, they had mentioned that no other cleaner had gotten it as clean as we had. The next couple of times the carpet had gotten clean as well, and this last time, I received the phone call, the client stated that the carpet was, "Really dirty this time and it cannot wait for our bi-annual appointment." This carpet is not the ideal carpet type for this application, it is a higher looped berber and there is a lot of fiber crush going on. Fiber crush is when the fibers get so saturated with soils, dirt, and foot traffic, that they lay flat and do not fluff back up when vacuuming. This leads to fiber damage and irreparable damage to the material of the carpet. I have a few pieces of equipment to deal with this situation and to be honest, I spent more time on this job than I should have, but I could see so much potential in the outcome that I tried different things for future reference. Here are a few more before shots...
If you or anyone else you know has some berber carpet that needs some cleaning/restoration, give us a call, we can Restore Your Carpet.
